Mainly dry weather, warmer days in J&K till October 21: MeT

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Meteorological Department (MeT) on Wednesday forecast mainly dry weather with warmer days in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory till October 21, 2023.

An official of the Meteorological Department (MeT) said, “Currently, the weather is foggy in plains of Kashmir and other valleys of Jammu and Kashmir and partly cloudy at rest of places.” “The fog will lift gradually as the day progresses,” he said.

“Mainly dry weather with warmer days are expected in Jammu and Kashmir from October 19 to 21,” he said.

“Generally cloudy weather, light to moderate rain and snowfall over higher reaches and at scattered places of Jammu and Kashmir is expected from October 22 to 23,“ he said.

“Partly cloudy weather is expected in Jammu and Kashmir from October 24 to 28,“ he said.

Meanwhile, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar recorded 7.8°C, Anantnag 7.4°C, Qazigund 6.8°C, Kupwara 6.9°C, Gulmarg 0.0°C, Kokernag 5.6°C and Pahalgam 3.7°C as the minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Wednesday.

The winter capital Jammu recorded 12.7°C, Katra 10.6°C, Batote 6.3°C, Bhaderwah 3.6°C and Banihal 3.5°C as the minimum temperature in Jammu region.

In Ladakh region, Leh recorded minus 2.0°C as the minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
