SRINAGAR — The Meteorological Department on Tuesday forecast widespread light to moderate rain and thunderstorms in Jammu and Kashmir for next 24 hours.
The weather was inclement in the Union Territory during last 24 hours.
An official of the Meteorological Department said, Widespread light to moderate rain/thunderstorms are likely in J&K during the next 24 hours.
He said, Srinagar recorded 11.0 degrees Celsius, Pahalgam 5.6 degrees Celsius and Gulmarg 3.6 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Tuesday.
In Jammu region, he said, Jammu recorded 20.0 degrees Celsius, Katra 18.5 degrees Celsius, Batote 12.6 degrees Celsius, Banihal 10.5 degrees Celsius and Bhaderwah 11.4 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.
In Ladakh region, he said, Kargil recorded 5.4 degrees Celsius and Leh 5.0 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.
