MeT forecasts rain, thunderstorms in J&K for next 24 hours

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Meteorological Department on Monday forecast rain and thunderstorms in Jammu and Kashmir for the next 24 hours.

The weather was partly cloudy in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.

An official of the Meteorological Department said, Rain/thunderstorm likely in J&K during the next 24 hours with chances of improvement afternoon onwards.

He said, Srinagar recorded 11.3 degrees Celsius, Pahalgam 4.7 degrees Celsius and Gulmarg 4.0 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Monday.

In Jammu region, he said, Jammu recorded 18.7 degrees Celsius, Katra 16.1 degrees Celsius, Batote 13.1 degrees Celsius, Banihal 10.3 degrees Celsius and Bhaderwah 10.8 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

In Ladakh region, he said, Leh recorded 2.2 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
