SRINAGAR — Unknown gunmen suspected to be militants shot dead a police cop at SD Colony Batamaloo in Kashmir capital Srinagar.
An official told that militants fired upon a police cop identified as Tauseef Ahmad appointed in 2019 and injured him critically. The cop was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
He was currently on duty at PCR and originally is a resident of Lachmanpora area of Batamaloo.
Security forces have rushed to the spot and the area is being cordoned off to nab the attackers. — (KDC)
