NC MPs visit Iranian Embassy in Delhi, Offer condolences on Khamenei’s death

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Members of Parliament from the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) on Monday visited the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in New Delhi and signed the condolence book over the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The delegation comprised Chowdry Mohammad Ramzan, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo and Gurwinder Singh Oberoi.

During their visit, the MPs met Dr Mohammad Fathali, Ambassador of Iran to India and expressed deep anguish and sorrow over the assassination of the revered leader.

They conveyed condolences on behalf of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, party president Farooq Abdullah and Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to the government and people of Iran.

The National Conference MPs also condemned the unilateral and barbaric attack carried out by the United States and Israel on Iran, saying such actions violate international law and pose a serious threat to peace and stability in the region.

They also prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul and for lasting peace and stability in the region. — (KIMS)
