KUPWARA (KIMS) — Police on Sunday in Handwara successfully seized a substantial quantity of illicit timber, dealing a major blow to timber smugglers operating in the region.
Acting on specific information, a police party from PS Handwara conducted raids at two locations in the Darashpora area of Handwara. During the operation, a total of 28 illegally felled timber logs were seized on the spot.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 80/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Handwara and investigation is underway. — (KIMS)
