Possibility of light to moderate snow, rain at many places of J&K from Feb 18: MeT

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Meteorological Department (MeT) on Monday forecast light to moderate snow and rainfall at many places of Jammu and Kashmir from February 18.

An official of the Meteorological Department (MeT) said, “The weather is expected to remain dry in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir till February 17.”

He said, “Another wet spell most likely with possibility of light to moderate snow and rainfall is expected at many places of Jammu and Kashmir from February 18-20.”

Meanwhile, the Summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar recorded minus 3.6°C, Qazigund minus 3.2°C, Kupwara minus 4.4°C, Gulmarg minus 4.5°C, Pahalgam minus 7.0°C and Kokernag minus 2.5°C as the Minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Monday.

The Winter Capital, Jammu recorded 8.0°C, Katra 7.8°C, Batote 4.9°C, Bhaderwah minus 0.8°C and Banihal 3.8°C as the Minimum temperature in Jammu region.

In Ladakh region, Leh recorded minus 13.7°C and Kargil minus 19.7°C as the Minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
