JAMMU (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday attached properties worth crores of a notorious drug drug peddler under NDPS Act in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“A three BHK Flat at Mohali, Punjab and three trucks bearing registration numbers JK14J-1718, JK14J-0018, JK14J-0618 belonging to the notorious drug peddler were attached under Section 68-F(2) of the NDPS Act 1985,” police said in a statement.
“The properties were identified as illegally acquired property during the course of an investigation carried out by SDPO Chenani DSP Sheikh Tahir, SHO Chenani Inspector Jaswinder Singh and PSI Ravinder,” the statement said.
“The properties were found to be acquired from illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances by the owner, who is presently under judicial custody in Case FIR No. 167/2023 under sections 8/15/25/29 of the NDPS Act, lodged at District Jail Udhampur,” the statement said.
“This operation reaffirms the commitment of Udhampur Police to combat the drug menace from the district,” the statement added. — (KIMS)
