Rain, snow in Jammu and Kashmir on October 9, 10: MeT

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The weather will remain partly cloudy in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. However, a brief spell of rain may occur at isolated places of Kashmir today.

An official of the Meteorological Department (MeT) said, “Fair to partly cloudy weather is expected in Jammu and Kashmir tomorrow (8th October 2023).”

“There is possibility of rain and snowfall over higher reaches at scattered places of Jammu and Kashmir from October 9 to 10,” he said adding that the main activity will be on October 10.

“The weather will remain mainly dry from October 11 to 13,” he said.

“The weather will remain mainly dry from October 14 to 20. However a brief spell of rain and snowfall over higher reaches can’t be ruled out, although chances are less,” he said.

Meanwhile, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar recorded 11.0°C, Anantnag 8.2°C, Qazigund and Gulmarg 9.4°C each, Kupwara 9.2°C, Kokernag 10.3°C and Pahalgam 7.7°C as the minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Saturday.

The winter capital Jammu recorded 21.3°C, Katra 19.2°C, Batote 14.7°C, Bhaderwah 11.7°C, Banihal 10.2°C, Udhampur NA and Patnitop NA as the minimum temperature in Jammu region.

In Ladakh region, Leh recorded 4.0°C and Kargil NA as the minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
