RED DROP organizes successful Blood Donation Camp at Kawa Institute, Khanyar

SRINAGAR [Farhan Kitab] (KIMS) — RED DROP, a unit of blood donors under the aegis of KASHMIR CONCERN (Regd. NGO), successfully organized a blood donation camp at the Kawa Institute, Khanyar, in collaboration with the Blood Bank of SMHS Hospital.

The camp witnessed an overwhelming response from donors across the valley, despite the chilly Chillai Kalan weather.

Honourable MLA Hazratbal, Salman Ali Sagar, also participated by donating blood, inspiring many young people with his commendable gesture.

Chairman RED DROP, Dr. Touseef Ahmed, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the donors, stating, “Despite the harsh weather conditions, our donors displayed remarkable enthusiasm and commitment to this noble cause. We are deeply thankful to each and every one of them for their selfless act.”

Prominent dignitaries present at the event included renowned environmentalist Manzoor Wangnoo, HOD Community Medicine Dr. Mohammad Saleem Khan, and President RED DROP, Shabir Hussain Khan (known as the ‘Blood Man of Kashmir’). Ms. Bilques Ara (‘Blood Woman of Kashmir’) and prominent social worker Syed Aijaz Kashani also attended the event.

The blood donation camp is part of RED DROP’s ongoing mission to promote voluntary blood donation and address the blood shortage in Kashmir.

The organization has been consistently working to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation and to encourage more people to contribute to this lifesaving cause. — (KIMS)
