Srinagar: Senior political leader and former MLC Syed Mohammad Rafiq Shah has criticized the Government over visit of European Union envoys to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement, Syed Mohammad Rafiq Shah said that the Government should restore statehood and special status of Jammu and Kashmir which was abrogated by Centre on August 5, 2019.
The Government should try to reach out to people of Kashmir directly and give them a healing touch instead of making foreign delegations a medium of conversation and inviting them for a shikara ride, he added.
The Central Government has never given importance to the statements made by United Nations and has always called Kashmir as an integral part of India and its her internal matter yet, the Government is trying to scrutinize the ground situation by allowing foreign delegations visit in Kashmir, he further added.
Pertinently, it its the third visit of European Union envoys to Jammu and Kashmir since the Abrogation of Article 370 and bifurcation of State into two Union Territories.
