Theft cases solved in Jammu, three thieves held, stolen property recovered

JAMMU (KIMS) — In a proactive operation, Bakshi Nagar Police successfully solved multiple theft cases and recovered stolen property.

“A written complaint was lodged by Rajesh Singh, son of Kartar Nath, a resident of Mahanpur, Kathua (currently residing in Rehari Colony, Jammu), regarding a theft in his room by unidentified thieves. The stolen items included gold jewelry and a mobile phone,” police said in a statement.

“Following the complaint, the following cases were registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar: FIR No. 3/2025 under Sections 331(4) and 305 of the BNS, FIR No. 10/2025 under Section 303(2) of the BNS, and FIR No. 189/2024 under Section 303(2) of the BNS,” the statement said.

“A special team, led by In-Charge Police Post (PP) Sarwal and In-Charge PP GMC under the supervision of SHO Bakshi Nagar, was constituted by SDPO City West to trace the accused. After strenuous efforts and analysis of CCTV footage from the area, the police apprehended three suspects identified as Saddam Hussain, son of Abdul Hamid, a resident of Gurmu, District Doda (currently residing in Beli Charana); Zia Farooq, son of Farooq Ahmed, a resident of Baderwah, District Doda; and Sahil Imtiyaz, son of Imtiyaz Ahmed, a resident of Attal Garh, Baderwah, District Doda,” the statement added.

“Upon their disclosure, police recovered stolen jewelry, a mobile phone, two stolen scooters (registration numbers JK02CX/4280 and JK03N/7274), and an E-Rickshaw (registration number JK02DE/1363). Further investigation is going-on,” the statement concluded. — (KIMS)
