JAMMU (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Police under Operation Sanjeevani conducted a major operation in Bishnah and arrested four notorious drug peddlers including three women and recovered 40.5 grams of heroin along with sharp-edged weapons from their possession.
“Four notorious drug peddlers identified as Parveen Kumar @Pinna, Son of Dev Raj, Rekha Kumari @Kajal, Daughter of Anil Kumar, Jyoti Bala @Ramta, Wife of Ram Pal and Rashmi Langeh, Wife of Sunny Kuma — all residents of Chorli village in Bishnah area of Jammu were arrested while targeting innocent youth of the area,” police said in a statement.
“They were part of a network responsible for drug distribution, which has caused tragic overdoses in the region,” the statement said adding, “The operation, led by SHO Police Station Bishnah, was executed under the supervision of SDPO R.S. Pura and SP Headquarters Jammu.”
A case FIR No. 203/2024 under relevant sections of the NDPS Act and Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation is underway.
