SRINAGAR (KIMS) — After remaining suspended for a day, traffic movement was resumed on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway on Sunday, officials said.
Officials said, “Passenger vehicles have been allowed to ply on both sides of the highway.”
“The commuters are advised to follow lane discipline as overtaking will cause congestion. The drivers are also advised to drive with caution as the road is slippery between Banihal and Qazigund,” they said.
“The Mughal Road, Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari (SSG) Road, Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag, and Bhaderwah-Chamba Road are still closed for vehicular movement due to snow accumulation,” they added.
These highways were closed for vehicular movement after snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir since Friday afternoon. — (KIMS)
