Widespread rain to continue in Jammu and Kashmir: MeT

SRINAGAR — The Meteorological Department on Wednesday forecast widespread rain in Jammu and Kashmir for next 24 hours.

The rain lashed Union Territory during the last 24 hours.

An official of the Meteorological Department said, Widespread light rain or thunderstorms are likely to occur in J&K during the next 24 hours.

He said, Srinagar recorded 10.3 degrees Celsius, Pahalgam 5.4 degrees Celsius and Gulmarg 2.0 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Wednesday.

In Jammu region, he said, Jammu recorded 17.4 degrees Celsius, Katra 16.0 degrees Celsius, Batote 10.1 degrees Celsius, Banihal 10.2 degrees Celsius and Bhaderwah 11.9 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

In Ladakh region, he said, Kargil recorded 3.3 degrees Celsius and Leh 1.6 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.
