19 RR holds cycle race competition for school children, youth in Dailgam

ANANTNAG — Army’s 19 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) on Monday organized a cycle race for school children and youth in Dailgam village in Anantnag district.

At least 70 students participated in the race.

Company Commander of Army’s 19 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Major Sameer flagged off the race from Govt Medical College to Shelipora Anantnag.

The participants said, Cycling has huge health benefits and the daily routine improves mobility, coordination, heart health, and reduces weight.

They said Regular cycling can lessen mental health disorders, including depression, tension, and anxiety.

The objective of organizing the race was to promote Environment Protection.

Locals, Police, School Staff and other Officials participated in the event. After concluding the event, winners were distributed Appreciation Certificates and Medals.

Locals as well as Parents of Children lauded the efforts taken by army to make bond stronger between Awaam and Jawan.
