24-year-old youth dies of heart attack while playing cricket in Budgam

BUDGAM — A young man, famous for his batting skills, died after suffering cardiac arrest while playing cricket at a local playground in Badipora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Wednesday.

Sources told news agency Kashmir Dot Com that Raja Nisar (24), son of Ghulam Ahmad Rather, a local from Badipora Charar-e-Sharief, fell on the ground during the match proceedings.

Nisar was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment where he was declared dead on arrival.

Locals said they were shocked by such an untimely death of a promising cricketer. — (KDC)
