RAMBAN — At least 5 persons died and many others were injured after a tempo they were travelling in fell into a deep gorge near Kela Morh district on Thursday evening, officials said.
An official told the news agency Kashmir News Observer that the accident took place near Kela Morh in Ramban district on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway.
He said that four persons died on the spot while another one succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
However, the identity of the deceased and injured was not immediately known.
The official said that the vehicle was on way to Jammu from Banihal when the accident took place.
He added that a team of officials was rushed to the spot to retrieve the bodies and shift the injured to the hospital. — (KNO)
