SRINAGAR — An avalanche hit the Hung area of Sonamarg in Ganderbal district of Central Kashmir on Friday afternoon. Fortunately, no casualties or property damage were reported from the incident, police officials confirmed as reported by the Srinagar-based news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC).
Following the avalanche, a rapid response team, under the directions of SSP Ganderbal Sandeep Gupta, was dispatched to the scene.
The efficient efforts of the team resulted in the successful rescue of two vehicles trapped under the snow, with all passengers unharmed.
