Three drug peddlers arrested in Pulwama; charas, contraband substances seized

PULWAMA (KIMS) — While continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested three drug peddlers in Pulwama district of South Kashmir on Saturday and recovered psychotropic substances from their possession.

“Three drug peddlers identified as Syed Adil, son of Syed Showkat of Gundipora Pulwama, Aqib Rashid Yatoo, son of Abdul Rashid Yatoo of Drusoo Pulwama and Khursheed Ahmad Sheikh, son of Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh of Gangoo Pulwama were arrested along with Bhang Patri 19.20 Kgs, Charas Powder 167.55 grams, Herion 6.14 grams, Charas Powder 192 gms and Charas Sticks 110.5 gms,” police said in a statement.

In this regard, a Case FIR No’s 18/2025 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act, 19/2025 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act and 21/2025 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act have been registered in Police Station Pulwama. Further investigation into the case is going on. — (KIMS)
