SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Sunday announced the schedule for the upcoming Assembly elections in four states and one Union Territory.
The schedule was announced by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar during a press conference in New Delhi.
According to the ECI, polling in Assam, Kerala and the Union Territory of Puducherry will be held on April 9, 2026.
Polling in Tamil Nadu and the first phase of West Bengal Assembly elections will be conducted on April 23, 2026, while the second phase of polling in West Bengal will take place on April 29, 2026.
The counting of votes will be held on May 4, 2026. — (KIMS)
