MLA Rajpora reviews healthcare facilities at CHC Rajpora, assures infrastructure upgrades

PULWAMA, Mudasir Maqbool (KIMS) — MLA Rajpora Ghulam Mohiuddin Mir on Friday chaired a review meeting at the Community Health Centre (CHC) Rajpora to assess healthcare services and take stock of the facilities being provided to the people of the area.

During the meeting, the Block Medical Officer (BMO) Rajpora briefed the MLA about the functioning of the hospital, patient inflow, available healthcare services, infrastructure status and challenges faced by the institution.

Local residents and stakeholders raised several concerns regarding the hospital, including the establishment of a blood bank, availability of advanced medical equipment, completion of pending building works, strengthening of immunization services and shortage of medical and paramedical staff.

Responding to the issues, Mir said all genuine demands would be taken up with the Health Minister and the concerned authorities for early redressal. He said improving healthcare facilities remains one of his top priorities.

Addressing the gathering, the MLA said CHC Rajpora serves not only the Rajpora constituency but also a significant population from adjoining areas of Shopian district.

He appreciated the doctors and healthcare staff for their dedication and said the hospital has earned public trust through their professional services.

Mir said efforts would be made to strengthen the hospital’s infrastructure, manpower and medical facilities over the coming years to ensure better healthcare services for the people.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to work collectively towards improving the healthcare system and medical services in the area. — (KIMS)
