SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir Police have attached a property worth around ₹40 lakh belonging to an alleged drug peddler in Anantnag district as part of its ongoing action against assets linked to narcotics trafficking, officials said on Monday.
The property, comprising 12.5 marlas of proprietary land at Ainoo Brai, belongs to Parvaiz Ahmad Bokad, son of Bashir Ahmad Bokad, a resident of Ainoo Brai, police said.
The attachment was carried out by Police Station Aishmuqam in connection with FIR No. 62/2025 registered under Sections 8/15 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Police said the action is part of its continued drive to identify and attach assets acquired through or linked to illicit drug trafficking, with the aim of disrupting the financial networks supporting the drug trade. — (KIMS)
