RAJOURI — Police have arrested two persons and seized 1,300 tablets of Tapentadol and Pregabalin from their possession in Rajouri district, officials said.
A police party from Police Post City Rajouri intercepted a Pulsar motorcycle bearing registration number JK11E-6235 during checking, they said.
The rider was identified as Mohd Imran, a resident near PG College, Kheora, while the pillion rider was identified as Mohd Zaheer, a resident of Saimsmith, Rajouri.
During a search, police recovered 1,050 Tapentadol tablets packed in 105 strips and 250 Pregabalin tablets packed in 25 strips, officials said.
The recovered tablets and the motorcycle were seized as per procedure, while both accused were taken into custody.
A case under FIR No. 511/2026 has been registered at Police Station Rajouri, and further investigation is underway to ascertain the source and intended destination of the tablets and identify other links in the supply chain. — (KIMS)
