Administration least bothered about welfare of people of J&K, only elected government will mitigate sufferings of people: Vakil

KUPWARA — J&K Peoples Conference delegation led by senior VP & Former Minister Abdul Gani Vakil including former legislator Adv Bashir Ahmed Dar, DDC Chairman Kupwara Irfan Panditpori, Ashiq Hussain, Abdul Ahad Kashmiri and others today visited various places in District Kupwara.

The PC delegation on directions of PC President Sajad Gani Lone visited the residence of Mushtaq Ahmed Mir in Sirajpora to extended condolences to his family on his tragic demise. The PC leaders prayed for peace to the departed soul and assured the family that the party will stand with them in their hour of immense loss and frief.

Speaking on the ocassion, Vakil exhorted the administration to ensure justice is done with the victim family and the perpetrators of such heinous crime must be dealt as per the law of the land immediately.

The delegation also visited Awoora, Keegam and other places in District Kupwara. The delegation visited the family of 7 year old Talib Hussain Khan who is missing since February. The delegation urged the local and District authorities to trace him and bring him back to his family.

While interacting with the people in Keegam, Vakil accused the government of failing to announce a comprehensive plan for mitigating sufferings of the people of J&K. He said that administration of the day is least bothered about the welfare of the people of the state and is completely indifferent towards their pressing needs and demands. He said that only a popular elected government can ease the hardships of the people. — (KNS)
