NEW DELHI — Bharti Airtel has extended 5G coverage to all 22 districts of Jammu & Kashmir and has over 0.9 million state users on its next-gen mobile broadband service.
Airtel 5G Plus coverage is available across J&K, from the panoramic Dal lake to the state’s numerous enchanting valleys, the remote villages of Ladakh to even the sand dunes of the Nubra valley.
Accordingly, Airtel’s 5G service is now available across all districts and union territories in the country.
“We were the first telco to deploy high‐speed 5G technology in the state, and today we are delighted to be playing an important role in connecting the lives of our customers,” Adarsh Verma, Airtel’s COO (Jammu & Kashmir) circle said in an official statement Friday.
Sunil Mittal-led Airtel was the first telco to launch 5G services in October 2022, and it’s on track to conclude its countrywide coverage by March 2024. The company has over 50 million 5G users across India. — (Agencies)
