Amarnath Yatra suspended for 2nd consecutive day due to bad weather

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Due to bad weather conditions, the Amarnath Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir has been suspended for second consecutive day on Sunday on the twin routes of Baltal and Pahalgam.

The Yatra was suspended by the authorities yesterday morning after heavy rain in Jammu and Kashmir and no pilgrim was allowed to move towards the holy cave.

According to reports, the upper reaches of Pahalgam including Amarnath Cave site have received light snowfall.

The Yatra will resume after the weather improves, an official said. He said, so far over 80,000 devotees have performed the Yatra. — (KIMS)
