ANANTNAG, Sheikh Nadeem (KIMS) — A 14-year-old singer Uzain Asif Bhat from Pethbugh Dialgam in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district has released his first song titled “Maaye Chani”, marking a major step in his musical journey.
The song has been uploaded on content creator Aadil Gulzar’s YouTube channel and has started receiving appreciation from listeners on social media.
Speaking after the release of the song, Uzain said music had been his passion since childhood and credited his father for supporting him throughout his journey.
“My father has always supported me. Whenever I needed any equipment or help related to music, he arranged everything for me. We recorded this song last week and it was released two days ago. I request everyone to watch the song, support me and create reels on it,” Uzain said.
Uzain said his journey started with making singing videos at home, which eventually helped him gain recognition online. He said content creator Aadil Gulzar contacted him after watching one of his videos and encouraged him to collaborate.
“When I uploaded one of my videos, Aadil Gulzar messaged me and appreciated my voice. After that, I got an opportunity to work with him,” he said.
He also acknowledged the support of his school and teachers, especially Nadeem Sir for motivating him and sharing his stories on multiple platforms.
Uzain, who studies at Scholars Scientific Institute first came into the limelight for his soulful renditions of Kashmiri folk, Sufi and Bollywood songs. Earlier, he had spoken about learning music on his own through online videos without any formal training.
Known for his melodious voice and stage performances at school and cultural events, Uzain had then expressed his dream of becoming a Bollywood playback singer.
With the release of “Maaye Chani”, he has taken another step towards turning his musical aspirations into reality. — (KIMS)
