SRINAGAR — An encounter breaks out between government forces and militants at Moolu village in Shopian district of South Kashmir on Wednesday.
Reports said a joint team of government forces including Indian Army, J&K Police and CRPF had launched Cordon-and-Search-Operation (CASO) at Moolu village in the district following the inputs about presence of militants in the area.
They said that as the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, militants fired upon them which was retaliated, triggering an encounter.
The encounter was underway when reports last came in.
Pertinently it is the 2nd encounter in the district in last 24 hours as another encounter was going on at Draach village in the district. — (KIMS)
