Army conducts career counselling cum motivational event in Anantnag

ANANTNAG — Armys 19 Rashtriya Rifles Dailgam COB under Major Rahul organised counselling career cum motivational event for the local youth belonging to below poverty line and orphan to guide them and prepare to get jobs for their bright future.

The aim of the event was to guide poorer youths regarding opportunities to get jobs in army.

To motivate the students a career counselling session for youth to their future career goals and guidance for joining Indian armed forces were organised in Dialgam Camp.

Company Commander Major Rahul during counselling sesion said that young generation students will be provided general awareness about various options available in each stream after class 10th, 12th and students will be motivated to choose the right career options and to shun the activities related to terrorism.

Most of the students belong to extreme poor background and orphans having very less earning of income.

Major Rahul said these types of events make the bond between Awam and Jawan strong and these activities positively engage the youth guiding them in the correct direction and hence motivating them to follow right path in future

The Army has always been at the forefront of guiding the youth and empowering them to grab more employment opportunities and channelising their energy positively, Major Rahul Said.

A total of 35 students from Dyalgam, Chaakpath, Jaiybal and brienty benefited by attending the camp.

However mobile library van was also made available in the camp so that studennts can access various books and study material as per their need.

Students lauded the efforts of the Army for providing employment opportunities for the youtths of the area.

“Such noble initiatives of the Army will go a long way in empowering the youth and will further strengthen the existing bond between Army and awam,” students said.
