Army’s 23 Rashtriya Rifles organise 45 days stitching classes in Kumla Ramban

RAMBAN — In an effort to boost financial independence among women in rural regions through self employment, Indian Army’s 23 Battlion in collobaration with RSETI commenced a 45 day long free stitching class for the women of Kumla village in remote area of Ramban district.

The program is aimed at improving the economic conditions and helping the women earn a livelihood through self employment. A total of 40 women attending the stitching cadre for a duration of 45 days commencing from 18 Aug to 01 Oct 2022.

The program aimed to bring about advancement and empowerment among the trainees by way of imparting them a skill which would help them to pursue an independent vocation and in turn make them financially independent.

RSETI Manager Amrik J&K Bank Manager – Jugal Kumar, Ahma Jama Molvi – Fayaz Ahmed were also Present.

The beneficiaries mainly include females from poor economic conditions. The locals well as the beneficiaries lauded the efforts taken by Indian Army especially 23 RR for its contribution towards women empowerment and appeal organise more events to provide platform for younger gerneration.
