SRINAGAR — The residents of Padgampora village in Awantipora town of Pulwama district on Friday evening held a candle light march in memory of a soldier.
The soldier namely Sep Pawan Kumar of 55 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) was killed in an encounter with militants at Padgampora village in Awantipora on Tuesday.
The local residents were seen holding photographs of Sep Pawan Kumar and praising him for giving his life for the nation by rising slogans in his favor.
Two local militants were killed in the said encounter, among them, according to police, one was involved in the recent killing of Kashmiri Pandit in Achan Pulwama.
