Bengal resident shot at, injured in Pulwama

PULWAMA — A non-local resident, lobourer by profession was shot at and injured by suspected militants at Ugergund Newa village in Pulwama district of South Kashmir on Friday morning.

Sources said, a non-local resident was shot at and injured after suspected militants fired upon him at Ugergund Newa village in the district.

They said, he was shifted to District Hospital Pulwama for treatment and his condition is stated to be stable.

He has been identified as Muneer Ul Islam, son of Abdul Karim, a resident of Dinajpur West Bengal.

Meanwhile, government forces have cordoned off entire area to nab the attackers. — (KIMS)
