Bike lifting gang busted in Jammu, 10 stolen two-wheelers recovered, 4 arrested

JAMMU (KIMS) — Police on Thursday recovered ten stolen two-wheelers and arrested four individuals involved in theft cases in Miran Sahib Jammu. The recovery includes three scooties and seven motorcycles, many of which had been missing from various locations.

The operation was carried out under the leadership of PSI Ajesh Singh Jamwal, with the support of ASI Pinto Kumar, ASI Fayaz Banday, IC BPP Nari ASI Balbir Singh. These operations were supervised by the SHO Miran Sahib Sh. Jai Paul Sharma and conducted under the overall guidance of SDPO R.S. Pura and SP Headquarters Jammu.

The arrested individuals have been identified as: Inderpal Singh S/o Janak Singh R/o Kotli Shahdullah, Rohin Kumar alias Baba S/o Jagir Singh, Sachan Kumar, S/o Saran Dass R/o Baggamarh R S Pura and Manshu Kumar S/o Om Parkash, also a resident of Kotli Shahdullah.

Recovered from their possession are several stolen vehicles, including Hero Splendor motorcycles, a Bajaj Platina bearing registration number JK02CE1292, and multiple Honda scooties. Two motorcycles were also recovered without registration numbers. All recovered vehicles have been verified through their chassis numbers.

Efforts are underway to trace the rightful owners of the recovered vehicles. Verification is being conducted through vehicle details, and contact is being established with potential owners to facilitate the return of their property.

The investigation is ongoing to uncover any further links or individuals involved in this network, with a firm resolve to bring all culprits to justice. — (KIMS)
