Burglary case solved in Pulwama, accused arrested: Police

PULWAMA — Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday solved Burglary case by arresting accused in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district and recovered stolen items from his possession.

Police in a statement said, Police Station Pulwama received a complaint from Javied Ahmad Baba S/o Gh. Qadir Baba R/o Tahab Pulwama that some unknown burglars have stolen kirayana items from his shop at Tahab Pulwama.

Upon this a case FIR No. 19/2023 U/S 380,457 IPC was registered at Police Station Pulwama and investigation was taken up, the statement said.

During the course of investigation, many suspects having past history of burglary were zeroed in and during questioning of the suspects, one suspect namely Latief Ahmad Ganie S/o Mohd Yousuf Ganie R/o Tahab Pulwama accepted his role in theft and on his disclosure, the stolen kirayana items worth thousand of rupees were recovered and investigation into the case is still going on, the statement said.

It is pertinent to mention that Police Station Pulwama has solved second theft case within a week, reads the statement. — (KIMS)
