Cloudy weather with sub-zero night temperatures expected in Valley during next 24 hours: MeT

SRINAGAR — The Meteorological Department office on Monday forecast partly to mainly cloudy weather with freezing night temperatures in Kashmir Valley and Ladakh.

“Partly to mainly cloudy weather with sub-zero night temperatures is expected in Ladakh and Valley during the next 24 hours”, IANS quoted an official of the MeT department as having said.

He said that Srinagar recorded minus 3.5 degrees Celsius, Pahalgam minus 5.7 degrees Celsius and Gulmarg minus 5.0 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

In Jammu region, he said Jammu recorded 4.5 degrees Celsius, Katra 7.2 degrees Celsius, Batote 0.7 degrees Celsius and Bhaderwah 0.4 degrees Celsius while as Banihal recorded minus 1.0 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

In Ladakh region, he said Kargil recorded minus 10.2 degrees Celsius and Leh recorded minus 13.4 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.
