JAMMU (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for key urban development projects worth over ₹26 crore in Jammu.
According to a post on X by the Office of the Chief Minister, the projects include a ₹15.74 crore Heritage Trail and beautification works at heritage sites in Jammu city, aimed at preserving and promoting the city’s rich cultural heritage.
The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for the ₹5.14 crore rejuvenation of the Nallah at Talab Khatikan, a ₹3.61 crore shopping-cum-municipal complex at Akhnoor and a ₹1.65 crore modernisation project for the Food Street at Bahu Fort.
The government said the projects are aimed at modernising civic infrastructure, preserving Jammu’s heritage, improving public amenities and enhancing the overall quality of urban life in the district. — (KIMS)
