SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Days after taking office, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah sanctioned Rs 1.70 crore on Tuesday to assist the fire victims of the Mulwarwan.
The fire, which occurred in the Mulwarwan area of Kishtwar district in Jammu division on October 14, left over 70 families homeless.
In an official order to Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Araf Khan, Director of Finance, J&K, stated, “The Hon’ble Chief Minister is pleased to sanction Rs 1.70 crore from the J&K Relief Fund as financial assistance for the fire-affected victims of Mulwarwan, Kishtwar.”
“The amount has been transferred via NEFT on 22.10.2024 into your official account, favoring the Accounts Officer of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Kishtwar, for disbursement among the 85 affected families, with each family receiving Rs 2 lakh in assistance,” the order added. — (KIMS)
