Coldest night recorded in Pahalgam, Gulmarg; dry, cold weather to continue in J&K: MeT

SRINAGAR — Famous tourist destinations Pahalgam and Gulmarg recorded coldest night of the season as the Meteorological Department office said on Sunday that cold and dry weather will continue in Jammu and Kashmir.

“Weather is expected to remain cold and dry with clear sky during the next 24 hours in J&K. Minimum temperatures are likely to drop further during this period,” IANS quoted an official of the MeT department as having said.

He said, Srinagar recorded 0.5 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature while famous tourist destinations Pahalgam and Gulmarg recorded minus 9.4 degrees Celsius and minus 8.2 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

In Jammu region, he said Jammu recorded 5.7 degrees Celsius, Katra 6.0 degrees Celsius, Banihal 2.2 degrees Celsius, Batote minus 0.3 degrees Celsius and Bhaderwah minus 0.8 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.
