Cyber Police Kashmir probes ‘Curative Survey’ money-doubling scam

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Cyber Police Kashmir has released a detailed statement on a concerning money-doubling scam involving ‘Curative Survey Private Limited.’

The fraudulent company enticed individuals with promises of substantial returns for participating in surveys, ultimately causing non-payment issues for victims.

In response to the mounting complaints, Cyber Police Kashmir initiated an investigation by registering a FIR No 39/2023 under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Information Technology (IT) Act.

The Cyber Police Kashmir has taken decisive action by freezing the identified accounts associated with the fraudulent company. Furthermore, searches conducted at various locations resulted the seizure of incriminating materials, including electronic devices and documents.

The ongoing investigation focuses on identifying the owners and promoters of the fraudulent company. Additionally, the role of local office staff and individuals promoting the scheme on social media is under examination.
