PULWAMA [Mudasir Maqbool] (KIMS) — The District Development Council (DDC) Pulwama held a crucial development meeting at the Circuit House, Pulwama.
The meeting was chaired by DDC Chairman Syed Abdul Bari Andrabi and attended by the Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), heads of various government departments, and other key officials.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the progress of ongoing developmental projects and strategies to address bottlenecks. The Chairman emphasized the need for enhanced coordination among departments to ensure timely execution of works.
Speaking to media representatives after the meeting, Bari Andrabi highlighted a critical issue, stating, “Only 30% of the allocated funds have been released to contractors, which they have refused to accept, delaying the initiation of key projects. We urge the government to release the full amount promptly to prevent developmental activities from suffering further.”
He stressed the importance of ensuring uninterrupted progress in public infrastructure, education, healthcare, and rural development initiatives, underscoring the potential impact on the livelihoods and well-being of the people in Pulwama.
The Chairman assured that he would take up the matter with higher authorities and remain committed to pushing for increased funding to facilitate Pulwama’s development. — (KIMS)
