SRINAGAR (KIMS) – The representatives who are elected by the people through voting/election process for the welfare of the society have made it difficult for common people to yield the benefits of economic and other packages by the government either by demanding bribe or through the acts of nepotism.
Although, the Constitution of India gives equal rights to every citizen of this country and they have right to enjoy benefits of economic packages, employment and in any form but sadly due to the vested interests of some elected representatives, either by demanding bribe or through the acts of nepotism, the deserving candidates are denied the opportunity of employment.
Dr Rizwan Rumi Executive Member South Asian Center for Peace, Democracy and Development said, “If any persons fundamental rights are violated or denied for some personal greed is a heinous crime and people involved in such crimes should be punished under the provisions of law.”
Recently, a (BJP) leader was exposed in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district for taking huge amount from families for releasing their son. This also depicts how much corrupt we have become.
“The government should exercise full control over the elected officials and micromanage the whole process from introducing till delivering packages for general public which is the only way to make sure that the aims and purposes of these packages are met,” Rizwan added. – (KIMS)
