RAJOURI (KIMS) — Police on Sunday apprehended one individual with possession of 7 grams of heroin (chitta) like narcotics substance during checking at Kallar Naka, Rajouri.
Police team was on checking at naka and intercepted one motorcycle which was without number plates and was on its way from Naushera to Rajouri. One individual was found sitting on the said vehicle.
During questioning the accused identified himself as Sarbjot Singh S/o Raghbir Singh R/o Rajpura Kamila Lam Rajouri. Police recovered heroin like narcotics substance weighing 7 grams from his illegal possession.
In this regard, a case of FIR No. 218/2025 under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rajouri. The accused is arrested on the spot and the recovered contraband has been seized as evidence.
Further investigation is underway to trace the backward and forward linkages of the drug network. — (KIMS)
