Dry weather in Jammu and Kashmir for next 24 hours: MeT

SRINAGAR — The Meteorological Department on Wednesday forecast dry weather in Jammu and Kashmir for the next 24 hours.

The weather remained dry during the last 24 hours in the Union Territory.

An official of the Meteorological Department said, dry partly cloudy weather is likely in J&K during the next 24 hours.

He said, Srinagar recorded minus 0.1 degrees Celsius, Pahalgam minus 7.6 degrees Celsius and Gulmarg minus 6.5 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

In Jammu region he said, Jammu recorded 8.3 degrees Celsius, Katra 8.0 degrees Celsius, Batote 3.5 degrees Celsius, Banihal 4.4 degrees Celsius and Bhaderwah 1.1 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

In Ladakh region he said, Kargil recorded minus 6.4 degrees Celsius and Leh recorded minus 13.0 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

Kashmir is currently under 20-day-long period of ‘Chilai Khurd’. It will be followed by 10-day-long ‘Chillai Bache’. — (KIMS)
