Dry weather in J&K for next 24 hours: MeT

SRINAGAR — The Meteorological Department on Tuesday forecast dry weather in Jammu and Kashmir for the next 24 hours.

The weather remained partly cloudy in the Union Territory yesterday.

An official of the Meteorological Department said, Dry weather with clear sky in Jammu and partly cloudy sky in the Valley is likely during the next 24 hours.

He said, Srinagar recorded 2.7 degrees Celsius while Pahalgam and Gulmarg recorded minus 5.9 degrees Celsius and minus 7.0 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

In Jammu region he said, Jammu recorded 8.4 degrees Celsius, Katra 8.8 degrees Celsius, Batote 2.0 degrees Celsius, Banihal and Bhaderwah recorded 0.2 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature

In Ladakh region he said, Kargil recorded minus 10.2 degrees Celsius and Leh recorded minus 11.4 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

Kashmir is currently under 20-day-long period of ‘Chilai Khurd’. It will be followed by 10-day-long ‘Chillai Bache’. — (KIMS)
