Dry weather in J&K until April 10, Except for April 3 & 5: MeT

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Meteorological Department (MeT) on Tuesday forecast dry weather in Jammu and Kashmir until April 10, with exceptions on April 3 and 5.

“Today, the weather is expected to remain mainly clear in Jammu and Kashmir with a possibility of light rain and snow at isolated higher reaches,” an official of the Meteorological Department (MeT) said.

“On April 3, anticipate partly to generally cloudy weather conditions with light rain and snow at many places of Jammu and Kashmir, along with thunder and lightning towards evening. Similar weather conditions with rain and snow is expected at isolated places on April 5,” he said.

“Generally dry weather is expected in Jammu and Kashmir on April 4. Similar weather conditions will prevail in the Union Territory from April 6-10,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar and Qazigund each recorded 4.8°C, Kupwara 3.6°C, Kokernag 5.6°C, Pahalgam 0.5°C and Gulmarg 0.4°C as the Minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Tuesday.

The Winter capital, Jammu recorded 15.7°C, Katra 14.0°C, Batote 10.0°C, Bhaderwah and Banihal each 7.2°C as the Minimum temperature in Jammu region.

In Ladakh region, Leh recorded minis 3.8°C and Kargil minus 2.2°C as the Minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
