Dry weather to continue in Jammu and Kashmir: MeT

SRINAGAR — The Meteorological Department on Monday forecast dry weather in Jammu and Kashmir for next 24 hours.

The weather remained dry in the Union Territory yesterday.

An official of the Meteorological Department said, weather is likely to remain dry in J&K during the next 24 hours.

He said, Srinagar recorded minus 4.0 degrees Celsius, Pahalgam minus 10.0 degrees Celsius and Gulmarg minus 11.0 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

In Jammu region, he said, Jammu recorded 3.6 degrees Celsius, Katra 5.6 degrees Celsius, Batote 1.7 degrees Celsius, Banihal 3.4 degrees Celsius and Bhaderwah minus 2.2 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

In Ladakh region, he said, Kargil recorded minus 19.8 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

Kashmir is currently under 20-day-long period of ‘Chilai Khurd’. It will be followed by 10-day-long ‘Chillai Bache’. — (KIMS)
