SRINAGAR (KIMS) — An encounter breaks out between government forces and militants at Hadipora area of Rafiabad in Sopore town of Baramulla district in North Kashmir on Wednesday.
Reports said, a joint team of government forces including Indian Army, J&K Police and CRPF had launched Cordon-and-Search-Operation (CASO) at Hadipora area of Rafiabad in Baramulla district following the inputs about presence of militants in the area.
They said, as the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, the militants fired upon them which was retaliated, triggering an encounter.
The encounter was going on when the reports last came in.
Earlier, the authorities had ordered closure of two educational institutions in the area as a precautionary measure. — (KIMS)
