Encounter breaks out in Budgam’s Magam village

SRINAGAR — An encounter breaks out between government forces and militants at Radbugh village in Magam area of Budgam district in Central Kashmir on Sunday.

Reports said a joint team of government forces including Indian Army, J&K Police and CRPF had launched Cordon-and-Search-Operation (CASO) at Radbugh village in Magam area of Budgam district following the inputs about presence of militants in the area.

They said that as the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, militants fired upon them which was retaliated, triggering an encounter.

Sources said 2-3 militants are believed to be trapped in the encounter.

The encounter was going-on when reports last came in. — (KIMS)
