JAMMU (KIMS) — Police on Tuesday successfully arrested four individuals involved in an attempt to murder case reported in the Kanachak area of Jammu district. The accused were apprehended following a swift investigation, and the weapons used in the crime, a toka, parthi, and rod have been recovered.
The case was registered based on a complaint filed on 23 February 2025 by Shashi Sharma, wife of Ashok Kumar, resident of Garkhal camp (currently residing in Sua No.1). She alleged that her son, Arun Sharma (son of Ashok Sharma), was brutally attacked by four individuals.
The accused persons have been identified as Sham Singh son of Balbir Singh, Davinder Singh son of Om Parkash Singh, Sanjay Singh son of Ranjeet Singh, Gopal Das son of Karam Dass, All are residents of Garkhal. The victim sustained serious injuries and was rushed to GMC Jammu for treatment.
Based on the complaint, an FIR (No.33/2025) under Sections 109, 115(2) 3(5) BNS, and 4/25 Arms Act was registered, and a dedicated police team launched a series of raids. The efforts led to the successful arrest of all four accused.
During interrogation, the suspects confessed to their involvement, leading to the recovery of the weapons used in the assault. Further investigation into the case is ongoing. — (KIMS)
